Tomorrow Might be Too Late

I go to bed every night in most cases knowing I didn't wait till it was too late. One of the biggest mistakes most people and business owners make is they wait until the moment passed them by. It's hard to turn away at that point not knowing or knowing that you missed it. Too late. I know about this feeling first hand as it used to be a very dear friend to me also. Procrastination was my biggest enemy and biggest alie. The difference I found out for my self was at least I wasn't lazy, lazy to me means you'll never do it because you're lazy but a procrastinator just might eventually get it, and I did. I told myself I would try to get the most out of every day, almost squeeze every bit of enjoyment or anguish out of every moment. The main reason I guess is to learn from things that are uncomfortable. You learn to not forget.

I have the opportunity to shape and mold new and existing businesses and get to witness first hand the let down we face as business owners and the triumphant times when you feel you have won the battle for now. What gets me the most when I sit down and go over the process and how the internal frame is set up you find the weak spots and most of them come from the thought of losing everything to the risk they face constantly. We can run a business and run it great but without taking risk's in business you will never get that chance to progress to those next levels in business. It takes someone driving the car that has a little risk in their blood that will be willing to pull the trigger in times of need, or times of desperation or just period. The best question in business you should ask your self in times of despair is which "hat" are you wearing? Are you looking at your company from an employee standpoint, a director standpoint or as a shareholder what are you looking at? We need to be able to delegate, take some risk. It's important to trust the people around you and be able to delegate your time as the owner, and spend it wisely, remember I mentioned in a past article, you can't do it all yourself it's impossible.

We need to be thinking about what will happen if you wait? Ask yourself this question. I know we have all, including myself been there and have faced that moment when your business is at a turning point and your faced with a tough decision. Do I take the plunge knowing the outcome could be 10 times more than what it is currently or do you walk the low road, the "safe" route to make sure the company doesn't fold? I guess you need to go back to the root of why you started your business. It's different for everyone. Ask yourself, why I started this; what was the driving force behind doing this? We all have a lot of comments we could say about that statement but remember it will involve risk there is no way around that. The small 1% of companies that start out with enough money is the non existent to us as the other 99% of business owners. We struggle; we leverage everything to make sure this grows for us after all it is your baby so to speak right!

Be particle in your decision making for your business. Seek outside consultations in your major decisions. It's ok to seek help to look for guidance. Talk to someone who has been there before, learn from other people's experiences, it's a far longer road traveled on your own that's a fact. We all need help. Be part of helping someone else see that by waiting, it might be too late. Have the strength and courage to make those serious decisions, after all that's why you are running the company. I know we can be stronger together and by us being able to reach out through these articles we can make a difference for one another. I hope this article greets you warmly and maybe, just maybe if I have helped you in making a tough decision easier well then my work is done. Thanks so much for the views and the reads it does help me in my quest to produce more articles as I write from the heart soul and mind and not scripted. It is YOU the audience that brings all the wonderful knowledge we authors contribute to us making this a better place for us all. What will happen tomorrow if you don't act today? Thanks again and remember "As they change, we change" see you real soon!
